Our Riverland highlight! Our family of 4 (kids 8 and 10) loved the self guided kayak trail from near Berri to Lock 4. We weren't sure if kids needed their own kayaks (as they have kayaked a lot), but we ended up going 2 doubles which was perfect as meant we all didn't have to paddle as hard when there was a little bit of wind. Scenery and tranquility were fantastic through backwaters, lagoons and the main Murray River channel. Birdlife was also amazing. The one way transfer at the end back to our car was great as saved us back tracking. We'll be back to explore another part of the Murray next time we're back. Thanks again Kym and Karen for a great experience.
Kym was brilliant. He met us exactly on time for both start and end of journey. Very friendly and well organised. Kym recommended a passage for the best kayaking experience and it was fantastic. Would recommend to everyone and anyone.
Karen and Kym are wonderful guides. Organising the trip was easy - communications were prompt and they were happy to work in with our timeframes. Equipment was great, their knowledge was fabulous and we enjoyed a really relaxing paddle down the river, punctuated by a morning tea stop that involved local produce.
We just had our third adventure with Canoe Adventures-Riverland. Kym is very experienced and knowledgeable. The river is beautiful and the whole experience is very worthwhile.
Myself and 13 of my backpacker friends booked in for an afternoon trip around the river. Great experience, reasonably priced and really fun!
Kym is awesome. Seriously, he knows all the creeks up in the Riverlands like the back of his hand. He was super flexible in terms of drop-off and pick-up times and made our canoe adventures so special. Canoe Adventures and the trails put together by Kym are a little South Australian secret... seriously. We did an overnight camping trip through Eckert's creek (and wild camped on Katarapkto island) and the memories will most definitely last a lifetime.
We made the call to get details on how it all worked and within half an hour Kym was at our hotel room to pick us up and take us to our preferred location. Kym showed us various options of where we could explore. He drove us to the location, supplied us with essentials and off we went. We had a mixture of Murray river and some awesome narrow creeks to navigate, when we arrived at the end of our course we called Kym and he was there within 15 minutes and dropped us back at our hotel.
From the on time pick up (from our hotel) to the drop off, everything was perfect! We enjoyed the morning sunrise out on the water, which was incredible. Kym was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure that this experience was at a relaxing pace, giving us all time to soak in the surroundings. With lots of interest from the smaller winding creeks to the open river and the surrounding cliffs, there was so much to see and take in. Our girls are already asking when we can go back and do this again. I can highly recommend Canoe Adventures Riverland for all ages.

Such a wonderful way to explore the river and the beautiful backwaters. So evident that Kym has grown up on this beautiful waterway and shares his passion and knowledge. Could have spent a few days doing this - therapy at its best! So good to see the wild life before and after dark - and the tips on the good camping spots too. Thank you. We will be back.
