My husband and I went out for a guided tour with Kym, and it was fantastic! Kym was absolutely wonderful. Originally we wanted to go out at sunset, but due to his weather advice, we decided to go out the following morning instead which was great advice (considering the storm front that below in that afternoon that we had no idea about!). Kym helped me get in and out of the kayak, had amazing local knowledge of the wildlife and Murray River, and gave us a fabulous morning tea in a great camping spot. The kayak paddling was easy-going at our own pace, and we sure learnt a lot about the amazing river system. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Frequently Asked Questions

What time does a short tour start?

The most popular short tours are our sunset and sunrise tours.  Sunrise tours are especially great for the hotter Summer months.

If those two options don't suit you, fill out the enquiry form below, or give us a ring, to craft a tour to suit you.

Will I get wet?

That's very unlikely.  Capsizes are extremely rare. Occasionally some people's unique paddling style may splash enough water to dampen clothing.  We supply dry bags to keep your jackets and valuables dry.  Your guide will take photos during the tour, so you can keep your camera and phone at home if you wish.

Are there any crocodiles?

No there are no crocodiles or alligators in South Australia.  Happy paddling.

Can I book a tour for only one person?

The minimum booking charge for any tour, is the cost of 2 adults.  If you are willing to pay for two, we are happy to run a tour for one person.

We had a fantastic day on the river with Canoe Adventures - Riverland. Kym is passionate about what he does and is relaxed and easy to communicate with. His knowledge of the river is thorough and his maps are detailed and make navigating the river a breeze. He recommended a course for us based on how much time we wanted to spend on the river and was super flexible about pick up points and time. Going through the lock was a fun experience. If you love kayaking or have never tried, totally recommend time on the river with Canoe Adventures - Riverland.
